Posted in VP Sara - Statements on Sep 26, 2022

My thoughts and prayers are with the people affected by Typhoon Karding in Luzon.

May I also offer my deepest condolences to the families of those who died during the onslaught of the typhoon.

The administration of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr is on top of the situation — with coordination between concerned national agencies and local government units done to ensure immediate response and efficient delivery of relief services to the people affected by Karding.

      Daghang salamat.

      Sara Z. Duterte
      Vice President of the Philippines
Secretary of the Department of Education

Vice President Sara Z. Duterte commends the San Jose del Monte Police for their swift action that led to the capture of an individual who falsely represented the OVP to illegally solicit money in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan on September 6.

The Vice President also expresses her gratitude to San Jose del Monte City Mayor Arthur Robes and his staff for alerting the police about the operations of Joel Calis.

Had it not been immediately reported and acted upon by authorities, the scam carried out by Calis would have emboldened more fraudulent money-making schemes and other illegal acts that could n...

Our history as a nation is marked by the blood of our forebears who selflessly offered their lives for the liberation of the Philippines and the Filipino people.

As we honor our National Heroes today, may we not only look back with admiration at their profound sense of patriotism but also look at the future of our country and its unrelenting longing for the same profound sense of patriotism from us.
