At 9:30 am, the Vice President attended the 53rdAnnual Membership Meeting of the Philippine Bible Society (PBS) in Manila. PBS is an interconfessional Christian ministry committed to bringing God’s Word by translating, producing and distributing the bible in formats that Filipinos can appreciate and find relevant. The event served as an avenue for PBS members to hear the annual report and elect a new set of Board of Trustees.

In her speech, the Vice President talked about the trials she has faced and how she kept her faith steadfast. “Gaya ng sabi ko sa umpisa: Every day is a struggle. We find…parang we find the joy, we find meaning behind the struggles. Mayroong dahilan.”
