At 7:00 am, the Vice President attended Celebrating Philippine Science High School Foundation, Inc. (PSHSFI)@40in Vertis North, Quezon City. The PSHSFI celebrated its 40thFounding Anniversary. PSHSFI seeks to enable the PSHS scholars to become globally competitive scientists by bridging the gap between available government funds and the actual financial requirements needed by the PSHS system to maintain its educational excellence.

In her message, the Vice President emphasized the need to invest in education, science, and technology to unlock the potentials of the Filipino youth. “Imagine this: what if the future of our nation lies in the hands of young people who are constrained by poverty? What if they never get the opportunity to fulfill their dreams because they are not given the chance to reach their full potential? What if we neglect investing in our country’s best and brightest? We would do the world a great disservice if we do not set the stage now for the empowerment of our future movers and shakers among the youth.”
