Negrense Volunteers for Change Foundation, Inc. (NVC) extends livelihood assistance to coastal communities in Bulan, Sorsogon through the Angat Buhay anti-poverty advocacy program of the Office of the Vice President (OVP).
Under the Peter Project of NVC that focuses on equipping fisher folk with boats, Angat Buhay has connected this generous partner to an LGU beneficiary in need of livelihood support.
Through the partnership, 25 motorized fiber glass boats have been distributed to residents living in different barangays in Bulan. These recipients are the families without fishing vessels, as well as those whose boats were destroyed by calamities.
Bulan, Sorsogon is one of the first 50 Angat Buhay LGU partners of the OVP. Last year, 100 toilet bowls were distributed to the community, pledged by another Angat Buhay partner, AAI Charity Foundation.
Angat Buhay reaches out to the poorest communities around the country, bringing in partners to help in priority advocacies that include rural development and livelihood.
