GUARDIANS, affiliates endorse Leni-Kiko for May 9 elections

They say they do not believe the “unsubstantiated” claim that
the tandem is allied with the Reds

Officers and members of the GUARDIANS and Friends for Leni and Kiko, made up of different branches of GUARDIANS and its affiliates, have endorsed the presidential bid of Vice President Leni Robredo and her running mate, Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan.

“(We) humbly manifest our unconditional, unsolicited, and wholehearted support to VP Leni Robredo as the President of the Republic of the Philippines and to Senator Kiko Pangilinan as the Vice President of the Republic of the Philippines for a Prosperous, Corrupt-Free and Peaceful Philippines,” they said in their manifesto of support.

They also said they offer their “collective and strongest support” to the tandem.

The group also emphasized that they do not believe the “unsubstantiated” claim that Robredo and Pangilinan are allied with the Communist Party.

“We do not believe the unsubstantiated insinuation that the violent left are in a coalition with the team of Vice President Robredo and Senator Pangilinan hence our collective effort and strongest support to them,” the group said.

The GUARDIANS and Friends for Leni and Kiko includes various GUARDIANS branches, such as the Philippine Guardians Brotherhood, Inc., Guardians Bagong Henerasyon Kapatiran International, Inc., Guardians Crime Watch Force International Inc., Guardians Tribe of Simeon (Jeddah), Guardians Tribe of Dan, Guardians International Action for Peace, Inc., and the Guardians Central Federation International, Inc.

The manifesto of support was signed by the group’s chairman, Gil Alonzo, who also heads the international arm of the Guardians A.N.G.E.L.S. coalition, and 23 representatives and officers of the GUARDIANS branches and their affiliate homeowner associations, tricycle operators and drivers associations (TODA), and youth and indigenous people communities.
