The camp of Vice President Leni Robredo remains optimistic despite a seven-point decline in her net satisfaction ratings based on the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.
Latest SWS nationwide poll showed that VP Leni’s net satisfaction rating fell from 34 percent in September 2018 to 27 percent, according to the survey conducted from December 16 to 19 last year.
In the latest Pulse Asia survey released last January 11, on the other hand, VP Leni obtained a performance rating of 62 percent, gaining 1 percentage point from the previous poll in September 2018.
In a statement on Thursday, Vice presidential spokesperson Barry Gutierrez stressed that despite conflicting results from the two polling firms, the fact remains that majority of Filipinos continue to trust VP Leni’s service.
“While the SWS and Pulse Asia surveys paint slightly different pictures, one thing is common to both: that VP Leni continues to enjoy widespread trust and support from our fellow Filipinos,” Gutierrez said.
The spokesperson also assured that VP Leni’s commitment to serving the poor and marginalized will not waver.
“We are grateful for this, and will strive our utmost to continue providing diligent, effective, and conscientious service to them, particularly to the poor and marginalized,” he added.
