At 10:00 am, the Vice President had a consultation with rice farmers in Quezon City Reception House (QCRH). The Office of the Vice President (OVP), through a convergence effort to address the issue on price hike and supply of rice, is conducting a series of consultations with different stakeholders as a necessary first step in the roll out of its intervention on the issue. For this consultation, the OVP gathered representatives from rice farmer groups to generate feedback from the sector on the issue.

At 4:15 pm, the Vice President was called on by Novaliches Development Cooperative (NOVADECI) in QCRH. NOVADECI is a community-based multi-purpose cooperative operating within Quezon and Caloocan cities and was established in 1976 through the initiative of small vendors. It is composed of individuals from six major sectors: employees, sari-sari store owners, OFWs, transport, vendor, and businesses. NOVADECI takes pride in its contribution to the national economy and nation building by providing employment opportunities through its various business endeavors and servicing capital requirements of small and medium scale businesses.
