Message of Vice President Leni Robredo Dipolog Volunteer Center

Message of Vice President Leni Robredo
    Dipolog Volunteer Center

    [START 00:00]

From the first, second, and third districts. Retired labor attache Henry Tianero. Hello sir, maraming salamat po. Our city and municipal councilors present.

Members of SK Dipolog, nasaan po kayo? Ayan, maraming salamat. The other LGU officials, business groups who are present, with special mention to the Alano family, nasaan po kayo? Maraming salamat. Samonte family, maraming salamat po. Si Captain [inaudible 02:14], nasaan po si Captain? Mr. and Mrs. [inaudible 02:2], thank you po. The members of the Change Politics Movement, kasama ko sila kanina. Magandang umaga. Magandang umaga sayo.

To all our volunteers present, magandang magandang umaga po ulit sa inyo [Applause] ngayong umaga ay napakasaya ko po na nakabalik po ako dito sa Dipolog. It has been quite some time yung last visit ko.

Actually palagi kaming dumadaan sa Dipolog kasi marami po kaming projects sa Siayan and the reason why marami kaming projects sa Siayan is ‘yung amin pong Angat Buhay Program ng Office of the Vice President, nag-identify po kami ng mga towns na talagang nangangailangan ng tulong and Siayan was one of those towns dahil for quite some time ‘yung Siayan was one of the poorest towns in the entire country. So, marami po kaming programa sa Siayan and most of the time pag pumupunta po kami daan lang kami ng Dipolog minsan hanggang airport lang kami.

Alam ko po na this is a difficult time for the entire country dahil we are going through another surge pero I could not let it pass na ang dami niyo nang ginagawa hindi man lang ako personal na nakakapagpasalamat.

    [Applause]

So yung pagpunta ko ngayong umaga, personal kong pagpasalamat sa ating mga volunteers who have been doing all you can not just to help my candidacy but to really take it upon yourselves to fight for our country. Mahaba pa po 'yung laban natin. We have a little less than four months to go before the elections. Mahirap pa 'yung pagdadaanan natin na laban pero I am very hopeful kasi ngayong eleksyon I am sure you have observed this for yourselves, iba yung eleksyon ngayon.

    [05:13]

This is not the conventional campaign that we have been doing all these years kasi ito pong eleksyon ngayon talagang taumbayan 'yung gumagalaw. Syempre meron tayong- meron tayong konsepto na 'pag hindi gumalaw 'yung mga politiko ay medyo natatakot tayo pero ngayon po ay ibang klase pati ‘yung mga pulitikong kaibigan natin sila 'yung nagkukwento na ibang klase kayo dahil yung mga tao and some of them have not involved themselves in any elections in the past pero ngayon sobrang aktibo na. And I think ang pinanggagalingan po dito yung recognition na ang may 2022 elections is a fight to regain the decency and moral values of our country.

And, I am so grateful that I am fighting this fight alongside all of you [Applause]. Hindi pa naman po official campaign period. In fact one of the reasons why we're here now is 'yung amin pong COVID response operations, we want to help all the other provinces and municipalities na willing to partner with us.

Earlier nagbigay po tayo ng mga antigen test kits sa province and pupunta pa po kami sa ibang mga munisipyo at probinsya for us to be able to do that, pero I cannot let this day pass without meeting you kahit po saglit lang to thank you [Applause].

Cong. Gani, maraming salamat. Hindi mukhang 80 years old, di ba? Mas malakas pa kaysa sa ating lahat. At syempre kay Less saka kay Heidi for the steadfast support, and all of you who have been doing your share for the country.

So, maraming maraming salamat po. I hope to be able to come back during the official campaign period para opisyal na makapag-kampanya na kami kasama po 'yung ating line-up si Senator Kiko and the rest of the slate pero hindi pa man nag-oofficial campaign period, maraming salamat sa lahat ng sakripisyo ninyo [Applause].

Magandang umaga pong muli. Please stay safe.

HOST: Alright, thank you Madame Vice President for the warm and inspiring message. As your volunteers, we will make sure that we will do everything– [END 08:56]
