The Vice President was in Camarines Sur for a series of events.
At 10:00 am, she attended the signing of memorandum of agreement between Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc. (PSFI) and Omasenso sa Kabuhayan Partner LGUs and awarding of plaques to Omasenso sa Kabuhayan partner establishments at Avenue Plaza Hotel, Naga City.
In the afternoon, she addressed her removal from her position as the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD) Co-Chairperson.
At 1:00 pm, she had a briefing with the Department of Health Region 5 and visited the Camarines Sur Treatment and Rehabilitation Center in San Fernando.
At 5:00 pm, she attended the Community-based Drug Recovery (CBDR) Program Facilitators’ Workshop in Villa Caceres Hotel, Naga City. The workshop was a three-day session that aimed to enable volunteers from different treatment and rehabilitation centers to implement CBDR modules in their respective LGUs. It was organized by Naga City LGU and University Research Co., LCC.
At 6:10 pm, she attended #RespetoNaman Anniversary in Robinson’s Naga, Naga City. The anniversary was a celebration of the successful first year of the campaign. It also served as a platform to launch the second year of the movement. It aimed to build stronger and more holistic support mechanisms for victim-survivors of gender-based violence by working with LGUs, law schools, and civil society organizations. #RespetoNaman is a collaborative project by Samahan ng mga Pilipina para sa Reporma at Kaunlara (SPARK!) Philippines, Office of the Vice President, UN Women, Embassy of Sweden in Manila, and Empower as a Response to the #MeToo, #TimesUp, and #DontTellMeHowToDress movements. It is an exhibit which features the clothes that women and children were wearing at the time of their assault.
