    OVP formally receives ISO recertification

The Office of the Vice President (OVP) on Monday, Feb. 8, formally received its recertification from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

The awarding—done in a small, socially-distanced ceremony at the OVP—came after a successful audit conducted by TÜV Rheinland in December 2020, which looked into the implementation of the office’s quality management system under ISO 9001:2015.

The OVP, under the leadership of VP Leni Robredo, pursued and secured the ISO certification in 2017, as part of its efforts to streamline its processes and professionalize its ranks. The recertification is valid for another three years.

For VP Leni, the recertification affirms the good work that the OVP has been doing, especially amid the COVID-19 crisis. She likewise noted that the recommendations and observations from the auditors have provided direction to the OVP, as it continues to strive for quality public service.

VP Leni emphasized that vying for the ISO certification is part of the OVP’s initiatives “to make the best out of the people here.”
