Vice President Leni Robredo poked fun at another attempt to link her to an ouster plot against the President.
VP Leni tagged the allegation as fake news. While she finds the claim laughable, she said that spreading such unverified and false information was “irresponsible,” especially coming from a former public official.
Ang kilala ko lang doon si Jollibee,” she said on her weekly radio show, BISErbisyong LENI, on RMN-DZXL 558.
VP Leni issued the comment following a social media post from former Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte, the President’s son, who posted screenshots of an Excel file that showed an “Anti Administration Group” plotting an “Oust Duterte Movement.”
The Vice President was among the names listed there, as the “leader of the united opposition.”
Aside from other prominent opposition figures and public officials, the list also included names of Catholic prelates, including Bishop Julio Xavier Labayen, who died weeks before the 2016 elections.
It also tagged Jollibee Foods Corporation and several other companies among “People’s Organizations / Business Community” involved in the alleged movement.
