Vice President Leni Robredo will visit the provinces of Aurora and Nueva Ecija on March 27, Monday. She will begin her visit by gracing the closing celebration of Women’s Month in Baler, Aurora.
The Province of Aurora will be closing the celebration of Women’s month together with other Local Government Units, Nongovernment Organizations, and women organizations like Kalipunan Ng Mga Liping Pilipina (KALIPI).
As part of the Office of the Vice President’s Angat Buhay program, VP Leni will also tour a housing community in Barangay Bagong Bakod, Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija. Angat Buhay is an initiative that aims to bridge LGUs and private partners in an effort to serve the need of the vulnerable and marginalized.
Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija is one of the fifty (50) pilot LGUs identified by the OVP as Angat Buhay LGUs. Cabanatuan city officials have expressed the need for the installation of water pumps in their area, particularly in the Sama Bajaus housing community. Solanaland, an Angat Buhay partner, pledged to provide and install water pumps for Cabanatuan.
VP Leni Robredo, along with Solanaland representatives will be present in the ceremonial turn-over of the water pumps for the 208 families of Brgy. Bagong Bakod.
