VP Leni to speak at international summit in Nepal

Vice President Leni Robredo is slated to speak alongside leaders of other countries, past and present, at an international summit to be held in Nepal next week.

VP Leni is one of the officials invited to deliver a keynote address at the opening session of the Asia Pacific Summit 2018, which will be held in Kathmandu, Nepal, on December 1, Saturday.

During the visit, the Vice President will join heads of state and government at the welcome banquet for the summit, organized by the Universal Peace Federation, the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace, in partnership with the Government of Nepal, the Federal Parliament of Nepal, and the International Conference of the Asian Political Parties.

The Asia Pacific Summit 2018 will be a gathering of top state and government officials, subject matter experts, businessmen, and civil society leaders, as it aims to address “critical challenges of our time,” bringing to light matters such as interdependence, mutual prosperity, and universal values.

The summit’s discussions will also include other topics like climate change and good governance.

VP Leni will be leaving for Nepal on Wednesday, November 28.

She will return to the Philippines on Sunday, December 2.
