This website adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline.     VP Leni welcomes Vietnamese Ambassador to her office

    Vice President Leni Robredo welcomed Vietnamese Ambassador Ly Quoc Tuan to her office at the Quezon City Reception House on Wednesday, June 26, 2019.

    This is the first opportunity that the Vice President has had to officially meet with the Ambassador of Vietnam.

    During the brief courtesy call, VP Leni and Ambassador Ly discussed the friendship between the Philippines and Vietnam which has stayed firm through several decades.

    VP Leni also took the opportunity to convey the gratitude of the 22 fishermen of Philippine fishing boat Gem-Ver who were rescued at sea by Vietnamese citizens.

    “If you listen to the stories, they were really very thankful to the Vietnamese. They kept on repeating that were it not for them, they would have died already… thank you in behalf of, not just in behalf of the fishermen, but in behalf of the people of the Philippines” VP Leni told Ambassador Ly.

    VP Leni and the Ambassador also discussed the progress that both the Philippines and Vietnam

    have attained through the years. Ambassador Ly told VP Leni how Vietnam’s economy grew from 1986 to the present and what their government has done to improve its agricultural sector. VP Leni, in turn, discussed the strides the Philippines has taken in terms of healthcare, such as the passage of the Universal Healthcare Law.

    At the end of the visit, the Vice President expressed her hope that friendly relations between the people of the Philippines and the people of Vietnam would continue to deepen in the future.
