VP Leni’s office maintains ISO certification

The Office of the Vice President maintains its certification from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), as it strives to continue delivering quality public service to the Filipino people.

The OVP successfully emerged from the recertification audit, reassessing its implementation of its quality management system under ISO 9001:2015, which the office first obtained in 2017. The recertification is valid for another three years.

With this, the OVP continues to be among the national government agencies in the Philippines that have secured the certification, sought by organizations in various fields worldwide to set their standards of quality for products and services.

In the closing meeting on Monday, Dec. 14, auditors from TÜV Rheinland commended the OVP for the maturity of its management systems and processes, and for its commitment to improve its performance in public service and advocacy functions, both before and during the COVID-19 crisis.

Aiming for the ISO certification was one of the steps taken early on by the office under the leadership of Vice President Leni Robredo, who believes that professionalizing the OVP’s ranks and streamlining its processes will ensure better service to the public.

“I am grateful to our OVP family for always being ready and willing to face the challenges that come with public service,” she said. “I hope this inspires each member of our team to go over and above what is expected, because the Filipino people deserve no less.”
