This website adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline.     VP Sara Z. Duterte Japan Travel

    Purpose of Travel

    The Vice President was in Japan for a 2-day visit as the Philippines’ Special Envoy to the State Funeral of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on 27 September 2022.

    She attended the event in her capacity as the Vice President of the Philippines.

    Composition of PH Delegation

    The Vice President was accompanied by a delegation of 4 VPSPG personnel and 1 OVP staff.

    The VP was also joined by Trix and her mother, Jen (full names withheld for security ressons). Trix, a Grade 9 student from Dinalupihan, Bataan, was invited as part of the “You Can Be VP” project of the OVP to inspire learners to “dream big and aim high.” She joined the VP as she went around to do her official events.

    Itinerary/ Schedule

    The Vice President was in Japan for two full days. She met with several Japanese officials, including Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

    The Vice President also visited an elementary school and met with officials from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) to exchange views on blended learning, and values and skill formation, STEM education, and COVID-response.

    She also met with some members of the Filipino community. She hopes to meet the broader community in the future.

    The Vice President returned to the Philippines the morning of September 28.
